Curling in the embers of an Alchemist's fire the salamander offers clues.

This wittle fellah is SO CUTE. Lookit his little scheemy hands!
And actually, my sis could go ON for HOURS about the use of the archetypal symbol of the Salamander and Alchemy... she has even given lectures about it at her University, so yah, you are good to assume this fellah would be the best little companion to that line of work!
