I've been watching 'Chopping Block' lately.. and the first thing that came to my mind was an exasperated chef yelling, "Everyone's a damned critic! Back to the kitchen, everybody." :) Hope he feels better soon. Tell him to try the lobster soup--I hear it's quite good. ;)
