In so far as I know, there's only a handful of people with badger characters or fursonas. I can think of seven, not inclusing me. I have a few badger characters myself, including my avatar.

I very much think that drawing is a skill and not a talent, and as such is something that can be learned through practice/study/devotion of time. And in some cases, some investment in good equipment...
