Is there anything that sounds more soothing than falling rain? The way it patters on rocks and leaves and other surfaces, flows down the slopes of the mountains, drips through the trees to the ground below... To get even closer to those lovely sounds, Hueroc has gone out into the weather with a wing pulled over his head, its surface spread and stretched taut, to hear the tappings of those individual raindrops right over his head. He can hear the rain, he can feel it running over his wings and between his scales, the cool droplets and relaxing sounds and even the scent of it all around him! How could a dragon not feel so calm and peaceful and happy in such an environment?

So  theowlette drew this and holy crap, it's gorgeous. I love it. I really can't say enough about this piece, it's just super amazing everywhere and everything about it is fantastic. The mood, the background, Hueroc himself, it all looks so good~ And who doesn't like a nice rain? Especially when he's got a built-in umbrella.
