I'm the one in the pipe, and my mate is the one infront of the fire flower.. Net's a fire mage and as you can see his sleeves are missing because he keeps catching them on fire. So you can imagine my horror when he's found an item that could give him near limitless fire potential..Provided he never touches anything of course. But still!..

And the true back story is thus> He adores Mario, and I like to humor him so I teasingly asked him one day 'I bet you'd just Loooove to get your hands on a fire flower'. Ironically enough it was around that time that he did actually set my hair on fire x.x...Just a little bit though ^.^;;
