Possible character for a web comic  dramainspace I'm going to be co-authoring in for  JongJong

maybe I'll called him Nova.

He is an artificial Life form: fuzy dragon thing, that doesn't need to breath. Is capable of spaceflight (flying only in gravity-less environments, however it can influence falling or swimming) and is connected to a giant glowy orb (Precursor tech) that allows him to generate material, and live.

Height: short
weight: 100 Lb? idk
Age: unknown: possibly centuries, or even millennials. the only 'living' link to the Precursors. and he knows nothing
organs: pink, thank you very much, his not made of silicon.
Race: artificial organism
Gender/sex: Male/Herm

ORB THING:
Tech left behind by an extinct race, a small one is capable of providing power to a city, or generating a very small amount of any material. this material emits a unique radiation, identifying it as 'fake.' (Note: The energy is the only thing difference from the normal material) On a completely unrelated note this discovery occurred around the same time an inter-galaxy stock market crash ended.

The Orbs are called different thing by different races: the more scientific might call them Precursor Cores, while the more religious races would call it an Elder's Star.
Nova calls this one mother... oh and all of them Nova Forges. which makes sense considering what he can do with it. his one is sentient, though no one really knows or are unsure if that's true. No one knows if it is an A.I. or a 'true' one

The design is meant to look mechanical in design but have an organic feel. it emits a soft blue glow normal

history:
Originally Organism 1 awoke floating in space with the "Nova Forge." following his instincts he built a space station, generating materials and basic tools from the Orb. However the intended inhabitants never came. years later an explorer class ship came across the space station. Greedy for precursor tech they carefully docked and searched the place, activating it from stand by mode with his help after finding Organism 1. They informed him that the Ancients (as they called them) where no more, gaining no reaction from him (at the time they didn't know he could talk. scientist theories he didn't know himself) before they set about dismantling the station for science. finding the "Elder star" was the biggest find.

Many of these powerful core are found across the galaxies, but the largest found to date was only the size of a head and any attempts to reproduce them failed miserably, this one was the size equal to the standard height of normal races. Fortunately, the Alien's federation stepped in, claiming it on the grounds that a "Precursor Core" of such size can't not fairly belong to any single race. Organism 1 himself was save from the lab because of his connection, and a still running argument of whether or not it is morally wrong to cut up an artificial life form. (Not a race/is sentient).

It is unknown how Both the Core and Nova ended up belonging to REDACTED and aboard the REDACTED.

A Nova Forge can function as a ships core, providing power and even a minim of air in emergency. properly set up it can passively generate materials, or nutrient rich fluids for plants. Or a tasteless grey paste few can stomach. IF LARGE ENOUGH
