Wait, remake? I thought the only Starship Troopers movie made was the one which was kind of a cross between the pretty people in Friends with the general feel of Aliens. I haven't seen that 'cause... um... this is dweeby but, I liked the book, and after I found out there wasn't going to be any power armor I lost interest.
The dwarves are tough and disciplined, but the gnolls are strong and tough and pretty eager to tear into them -- so if some of them make it through the crossbows and can hack through the spears or bash through the shields, the dwarves are pretty much goners. At this point in the battle it's not a sure thing for either side.
