Why he continues up the stairs, I have no clue. If I got my shoes stuck, I would've looked to see that they were stuck because of some adhesive, saw that the entire staircase is covered in it, and slipped out of my shoes back the way I came, where there's NOT adhesive to get me stuck. I'd obviously then go get some water to dilute the adhesive before it dries so I can pick up my shoes and go wash them off.
