Things have been pretty busy lately, so I haven't had much chance for doing art; I did doodle this guy in a waiting room tho. It's pencil crayons on colored paper. It was a fun experiment, and any opportunity to play with snow leopard markings is good. ^.^

Yes, they are more fluffy- having a more feathery appearance would have made the roundness in and about the face to not be so apparent, but in a suit sense it would be very similar to what you have drawn, yes? I guess it comes down to- when changing an animal into a human form, it would probably loose some of the fur length in my opinion, but that is all under the creator's digression.
Fur length is an interesting question in the idea of human-sized and shaped iterations of a given species. I tend to never think of one of these characters as a human-animal cross, instead i think of them more like a humanoid evolution of a species. From that viewpoint there is no strict definition of how the fur should look, but I usually go with whatever would look best. In this case the pic was more about playing with the pencil crayons and the markings then anything else. I have ideas for other Snow Leopard pics; maybe I'll try fluffier when i get around to those. ^.^
