I took this picture at the San Diego Zoo. The animal in question is suppose to be the American Lion before they went extinct and is suppose to be actual size. I trust the size although I question if they were striped as they may of had plain tawny colors or even had been spotted. I have no idea who the kid and mom is but wanted to show you the human size comparison as to just how big these animals were.
