SirFox and I have decided to do collabs every so often under the nom de plumes Punk n' Spice :) Here's one of 'em!
Custard is a lightweight. It may have to do with his butterfly metabolism. I decided to change his tongue to a butterfly proboscis type thing and give him sticky pads to further emphasize that he is a half raccoon half butterfly and identifies closer to the insect side.
The Beef meanwhile looks as though he's whispering sweet nothings in Custard's ear, but really he's probably just going off on another tangent about how much he wants to play Glinda in a performance of Wicked. Swole.

*gasp* Custard doesn't have his bandages! Kind of surprised it's just fur under there. I'm guessing they may be more related to the chronic pain/health (same thing, really) issues you mentioned?

Yep! He binds his chest tightly because the counterpressure helps with pain for him. His front is very fluffy, but if you were to get a good look at his shoulderblades, you'd see two large, hard, reddened lumps that are hot and painful to the touch. Those are his wingbuds; they're possibly too impacted to emerge.
I'm guessing that Oakley's crew are quite used to hearing "Popular" being belted out from the shower or workout room at the station. I would also not be surprised if he tries to sing Defying Gravity while flying his chopper.

Now I kinda wonder if Oakley ever worried about the binding, at least in the case for FtM people binding with bandages can cause some serious damage. I'm guessing with Custard's condition that doesn't apply as much, but I gotta still imagine him being like "bro, you sure that's healthy for you?" and he'd have to explain. :(
I am super jazzed to finally get to Custard's part in the story. Like seriously, he's up there with Arty as far as faves for me, and in V&A he was basically just Kelly's sidekick. But now..!
And Oak's become one of my faves to write, because he's very much the Lucy to Custard's Ricky. He even says his name with the same type of inflection, "Cus-teeeeeeee! I wanna be on the shooow!"
