Shanda The Panda issue 50 cover preview
My first real "gig" as a furry artist was as artist for the comic series Shanda The Panda, published by Mike and Carole Curtis at Shanda Fantasy Arts.
I haven't done any regular work for Shanda since issue 21, and my last appearance at all was in issue 25. Still, Mike was gracious enough to ask me to create the cover for issue 50, which features the long awaited wedding of Shanda to Richard (Double R).
All Shanda covers are based on movie poster art, so I am happy to present "My Big Fat Panda Wedding." ^_^
According to the SFA website, Shanda 50 should be ready in May, 2009. You can get more information about Shanda and the myriad of other titles published by SFA on their website:

She's not a Big Fat Panda... She's THE Big Fat Panda. With that movie reference in mind, it would be AWESOME (another recurring word in the same film) to have a Shanda parody on a future cover. But seriously, this is a cute cover, though I can see the look of sadness on Terri's face. I've also grown to love Quinn as a favourite character, she's such a cute kid. I'm gonna buy this issue. :)
I'm pretty sure you'll have to order directly from Shanda Fantasy Arts at this point. SFA is no longer being distributed by Diamond, which means you won't see it in almost any comics shops anymore.

I've seen ads for Shanda the Panda in ANTHROPOMPORPHICS, but because that only ran 4-5 issues and was done in by a number of regretabble errors, and because Shanda was compared to Omaha the Cat Dancer, a X-rated comic that first appeared in the underground BIZARRE SEX and which was seized by Canadian and Australian customs, I never gave it a tumble. I just wasn't in with THAT kind of stuff.
