Just happened to stumble upon this, not sure you actually care to know, but here goes.
Speaking from personal experience, vore is for me quite simple derived from power play. The same kind of payout one might get from any situation with a focus on one party being submissive and the other dominant. But then, I like a lot of shit that most people who like vore, find too scary and mean. Like plenty of fetishes though, I could never fully explain what it is I find appealing, I can only guess, but in general it seems to either be about dominance as with myself, or about closeness as with others. The idea of becoming one with the person(creature, whatever) you love. In short, I don't really know.
Either way it is nice to see you did not just do this out of spite, like so many folks seem to. Always makes me laugh that furries can be so intolerant of people slightly different from them, sad but kinda funny in a cosmic irony sort of way.

Yeah, well I don't really have a problem with kinks like this one because it's not something that could happen between people in the 'real world'. Some people might make links to cannibalism, but as I understand it, vore, particularly soft vore is a completely unrelated thing. I think some people get them muddled up which must suck for you guys!
These 'kinks I don't have' pictures aren't a stab at the people who do enjoy them, more an attempt at seeing the humour behind some of them.. Especially the wacky ones that us non kinky people find completely baffling.
Each to their own though, it doesn't bother me. (although some of them, the 'cub' stuff for example is, in my opinion, very uncool. But whatever.)

Indeed, it is the essence of fantasy for most everyone, though the diversity of the fetish does range into the more morbid aspects, which I admit are closer to my heart. But you must keep in mind, just as a macrophile is not likely to go out into town on a killing rampage, I have no interest in causing anyone harm over my fetish either as it is pure escapism. Its nice to break ones bonds of normality and play a villain, a monster or a beast, quite the escape from a humdrum life as a human.
And nah I never saw this as any kind of attack, just figured I might add my perspective in case you were at all interested to know more about the why of the fetish. I wont preach to you as you obviously have nothing against anyone, but for others out there, keep in mind that vore may be strange, but no more so then the most benign furry is strange to most people. It just troubles me that so many other folks bash on anyone within the fandom over what they happen to like.

you said what I wanted to say alot clearer X3 But hmm, the cub aspect. I will say this: There is a potential for it to seep into the real world (such as starting to think about it, kids in real life becoming your fantasies etc, to actually doing it) but just like the furry fandom itself, so does it have the possibility to leek into the real world. I believe it has most recently on both fronts: One guy got caught having sex with his dogs, another guy, assistant senator, got caught trying to arrange sex with a 15 year old over the internet, and do it in fursuits no less.
But I believe if you have a moderate amount of mentality and thinking capacity then fantasies shouldn't really leak into the real world. Obviously there are some people who do indulge in it but I don't blame it on the fetish online itself. I blame it on the individual person. Besides alot of the time there are two fronts to cubs: There's being the older person who has forbidden sex or kinks with a child, or there's the imagination of being younger and innocent, being thrown into the adult world either by curiosity, or the forcible push of another. It's a taboo fetish like say voyeurism or exhibitionism, the thrill of doing something that you know others would disapprove of.

I heard about the stuff in Pittsburgh as well, since were heading to AC also, what great timing...
I can actually admit I like the idea of young victims in some way(for the reasons you stated, since I like vore more as horror then sexual, the innocence of the victim makes it all the more sweet and evil), but because of the implications involved I purposefully disallow any sort of sexual content before even considering RP with such a character, I mean its one thing with a 16 year old fictional character, but any younger then that and I generally feel uncomfortable even with non-sexual RP(with the exception of actual tabletop style G rated RP). Its just too hard to prove that your intentions are pure and that you know the difference between fantasy and reality, so I just find it easier not to take such a risk.

heh, well it's always a good thing to be able to sit back and laugh at yourself and this one gives a giggle. For me It's all about the impossibility of it all. The more impossible the stunt and the more believable you are able to make it, the more kinky it is I suppose. I guess bondage, dom / sub go in there some where as well.
