Jotun is a big guy, and used to working hard for a living.
After all, things were a lot tougher back in the day (approx 900 BC) and even if todays luxuries are nice...
Sometimes the big lug misses his old life. The sheer intensity and simplicity of it.
From hauling heavy lumber for building ships, to hammering iron into the shape of rivets and axes. Long days in the forge, sweat and sparks, heat and sore muscles.
Old habits are hard to break, and getting shunted a millennia or so ahead in time doesn't really help.
The gym reminds him of the good old days though, when wracking your body to the breaking point was the order of things. The hard work and rabid intensity. The pain, adrenaline and ultimate satisfaction of a job well done.
But red hot iron might not be the only thing he wants to hammer these days...
After all, lately this new girl is really grabbing his attention!
I wonder if they'll make friends...
