It is remarkable hard to find reference for the back of Angel's costume and how it goes around his wings. So I just fudged it. And his wings are smaller than they should be but didn't want to cover up his body too much. I'll bet he gets the best views. Think about colours for that thunderhead. One of my older fav Marvel superheroes. man I love to draw wings!

Angel was one of my favorite X-Men back in the day. I would think his back would just be bushels of muscles, but your approach here is much less cluttered and cumbersome. He is a mutant, after all!
I liked Cyclops okay for a while, but then the writers made Scott all whiny and philosophical. Of the original X-Men, I liked Hank/Beast the best. I always thought he was a sympathetic character without being cloying. Of the new gang, it had to be Nightcrawler, then Colossus.

You know my fave has always been Angel......Love seeing him with proper wings. I hated how most artists drew those wings. they were always too skinny where they joined the body, and never 'flapped'. They were always in the 'closed' position. Really, why is it so hard to draw wings???
