A random idea I had in my head that I rattled about as I was packing this weekend. I also wanted to experiment with drawing at a higher DPI with a thinner overall outline.

For the design itself the base idea was a Haunter humanoid (although naturally getting the DL twist common to my gallery). Haunter itself is a very simple design, so I had to be pretty judicious in choosing what features went where. The head crest design naturally comes from the natural Haunter shape, and the three-clawed hands were the most obvious application. The torn ponchi/cloak was also meant as a slight illusion to Haunter's tapered lower half although I should have probably made the front itself narrow more towards the bottom. The cloth diaper used here was also chosen so the tassels could also lend itself to the creatures more pointed appearance.

I feel pretty accomplished about the art overall, although I'm not entirely sure I'll do anything with this character itself. I would consider auctioning it off but the aspect of being on an already copy-written design makes this notion one probably best not explored.
