Here we have my practice on the Master Monet's water lilies. This I did in my kitchen with the same limited color pallette and on my own. I see many mistakes and understand now how to work it better. However, I believe that Monet is not my paint style. I think that my gradient work and way I see things are more in line with Van Gogh and Tim Burton. This was the piece that really threw me into an art funk. I am competitive with myself and very very hard - I know I am learning and should give myself a break but for some reason, I cannot seem to do that. I took a few weeks break until an amazing artist here on FA inspired me to keep at it - and on top of it ordered art ... from me... a beginner ... It was the turning point for me and I am so grateful that I am still painting as I really do love doing it. Let me know what you think.
