"Alexander? You're serious?" Singa said, eyes wide with surprise. "He's back in town?"
"And from what he told me, he's here to stay," Venti muttered, cupping his mug of hot tea.
"That's...that's the worst news I've heard all day," Singa scowled. "I thought that douchebag was gone for good."
"It gets worse for me, Singa."
Singa arched an eyebrow. "Worse? How so?"
"He's the photographer for the photoshoot."
Singa almost dropped his mug, but caught it with minimal spilling of the tea. "Oh, God. Can't you--"
Venti shook his head. "I'm too much of an unknown," he explained. "If I act like a prima donna, I might lose any chance of more photoshoots."
"So you're stuck."
Venti nodded his head slowly, resting his head on the flat of his palm. "My only hope is that Alexander acts like a professional during the shoot."
"What does your heart tell you."
"You don't want to know what my heart tells me, Singa."
The cheetah reached over, placing a paw over Venti's. "Try me."
"I'm totally and utterly fucked," Venti squeezed his eyes shut. "I actually thought I was going to get ahead, that I was about to get out of the shitty hours of my job and into something more stable. Then Alexander shows up. He's going to ruin everything."
"I can't say I blame you for having such a dim outlook. After all, this is Alexander Jared Nelson we're talking about. He has no compunctions about treating people like shit. I doubt he's going to change his spots, figuratively speaking."
Venti opened his eyes, squinting at Singa. "How bad did he screw you over?"
"Not half as bad as he did you, Venti. Not even a third."
"And yet, he'd claim he did nothing wrong, and point out how Billy screwed over Charles and myself."
"He'd make such a good sociopath, wouldn't he?"
"He's a master of self-deception."
Singa felt his tail lashing around the chair legs. He hated seeing Venti like this, and wished he could hold the jackal to comfort him. "You let me talk to Alexander, Venti."
"Thanks, but no. At least things can't get any worse, right?"
He was wrong.

Dear lord now what? Poor Venti, I can totally relate to him right now, everything is headed in the right direction and a person (or a few peoples) get in the way and ruin everything. You just one thing to work out in your favor and it all comes crashing down. On the posative side, Venti has Art, I'm alone on this side T_T.
Anywho, enough of my bitching great work as always greg!
