Schwarzpelz - Chapter 2 - Part 24
Struggled a bit with the dialogue in the recent pages, but welp, now it is what it is. I kinda always draw the pages without dialogue and only add it right before I post the pages, don't know why xd
I've also been struggling a lot with onomatopoeias again, I just don't get them, and even less in english than german x3 So a couple words have been deleted before posting.. I'm just always afraid of choosing the wrong words and then sounding really dumb x3
Anyway, hope you like it

Onomatopoeias should be used to help the reader place a sound with the image.
For instance, a lot of people can imagine the sound of a punch, but it's not always that the brain imediately fits the sound on a static image, so 'sock', 'punch', 'thump' are used to give the reader's mind some pause in order to visualize the scene better...
That said, I would definetly say they are mostly unecessary in comics if the art already represents all there is to it... The artist should just have freedom to use them or not... Really depends on wether or not he/she thinks it fit the scene.
If you where thinking about using them, might i sugest you release an alternate version of the page with them?
Your readers can help you help you sort out some of your doubts... And sometimes even when in other languages onomatopoeias serve their purpose, so i'd say go for it.

mmmm I don't know x3
I think they're mostly unnecessary as well. When the art already says enough I'm often skipping even the normal dialogue. There was this short comic called "Toothache" I drew a while back and I wanted to add a pile of dialogue as well, till I saw that the panels technically spoke for themselves, and I refrained from using any words or soundeffects at all and was pretty happy with the result in the end. Like people would say.. "yeah, we get it already! get the text out of te way!" x3

Of course they run for it!
You were going to digest them and not give it a second thought! You don't deserve to cry or feel sorry since you probably wouldn't have after they were long gone!
This does bring up the question though, what exactly IS she going to eat given her current size?

I'm guessing these things don't really need to eat(at least the text implied to me that it doesn't digest), but will go around eating people anyway just to satisfy some instinctual hunger.
Probably a good thing that he got caught when he did though; they'd probably get spirited away to another dimension or something once it got "full".

Ha ha ha, that third panel!
Now I am curious just how the whole mind-control thing works. Earlier it felt like something was controlling her body, since Chakka heard her begging her body not to eat him earlier... but now it seems to imply that she was in control but just heavily influenced by hunger.
I wonder if Schwarzpelz realized by now that she's Chakka's sister, if he knows Chakka I assume he knows her too.
