This totally isn't Poppolio's final evolution.
You're just kidding yourself if you think it is.
I'm not joking.
EDIT: Of course I was joking. I submitted this the day the demo was datamined. You fail at sarcasm.

I can understand choosing grass or fire over water for that reason. Water types are pretty abundant/easy to come by in the early-to-mid game.
I like Poppolio's final evo - but I kinda like Litten's and Rowlett's too. I'll probably start with Poppolio but I may try to trade for the others as soon as possible when I start playing the new games.

I'm still giggling over the fact they went with such a female centric looking evolution line for Popplio when nearly 90% of them will be male. But I guess if you're a seal, that doesn't matter a whole lot.
That aside, pretty satisfied with them getting the leaked designs, except the Littens, because oh goodness please do something, anything else besides fire/fighting again.

I don't actually mind Litten's final evo - but yeah, if people are wanting a bit more variety I guess we've had enough fire/fighting types.
Poppolio's not exactly original either though - Oshawott was very seal-like in Gen 5. It could be argued that this final evo is just a more effeminate version of Samurott, I guess.

I slightly disagree, the sea otter theme for Oshawott was pretty strong until the final evo where it sprouted magnificently long limbs for some reason. But differences of opinion there. Though now that you mention it, I do agree that Popplios situation mirrors Oshawotts a fair bit, gender-wise.
