Well, it's been a while since I drew a really big guy, and I had to complete this at least.
Well this is my part of a trade I had to do with Modem_Redpill, one of most amazing artist I've ever seen on this site. He told me to draw his character, but I know absolutely nothing on Modem! X_X
So, I studied a few of his submissions and noticed he had a liking to guns and stuff, and he likes his characters pretty big. I know I never made Modem to the size he's supposed to be, but oh well. LOL at the Maple Leaf belt buckle! ^_^
I hope you and he like it.

Things to work on: The hands and wrists are way off. Way way off. I have a feeling you didn't really know how the hand would look in this picture and rushed it. Coloring is also really flat: You have a strong highlight on only one small part of the picture. You need to either have highlights on the whole thing, or go for flat colors. Flat colors generally don't work with colored pencils anyways-- you'd be better off with some markers in that instance. (Have you worked with prismacolor markers yet? You might have a lot of fun.) I personally don't like the anime-esque baby face here at all, but I know everyone else probably will.
Compliments: THOSE. PANTS. Are extremly well constructed and look absolutely fab. Draping clothing is actually one of the harder things to learn as you work more and more on art, and I think it's pretty cool that you seem to just naturally be able to lay it down like that, at least with the garments you've shown thus far. Muscle work almost top notch here. There's still a few issues with the rib cage/shoulders but they are minor compared to your past works: definite improvement. Your inking is serious crazy good- as such, I honestly don't even know what you did to ink it. I want to know, but I don't. Very good.
Keep up the work, senor!

Oh man, I whole heartedly agree with you on all those aspects. I orginally had him holding a gun in his hand and then I messed that up so much that I just placed the same arm in him crossing it. So yeah, I wasn't too pleased about it either.
Working with those colour pencils I got are a real pain in the ass, and I don't have the right paper either. But, yes, you know and I know that I suck at colouring! But yeah, I'm gonna try some new techniques in colour, because I see that as a great weakness. Hehe, I'm poor lol. Them Markers are a arm and a leg! But I might buy a few and experiment.
Wow, everyone likes the pants! I never thought they were too great at first, but it's growing on me.
Dude, the muscle work on this came out real bad. I messed up dearly on his arms and his forearms are totally messed up. Yeah, and the rib-shoulder thing.
Oh? I trying out thickening my lines, and I'm glad you like it! I was hoping it would distract you from my terrible colouring...>_>
Thank you so much for the critique Ed. I would try out some more stuff, and I hope it shows in time.
