I enjoyed the awkward disguises that the Turtles would wear sometimes if they felt like being sneaky. i spy a trenchcoated turtle here already!

The TMNT stories were always about how they were totally different in personality, but they worked together as a team. That theme persists through all their incarnations. As for illustrating an action, maybe them teaming up against Shredder or some other foe? Or they could be going head-to-head with the foot... Or you could place them in their home in the sewer all doing their respective training/fun/etc.

Oh yeah, I had almost forgotten about the foot clan. Gosh, I should play some classic 'Turtles in Time' for inspiration.

Oh man I loved that game... Can you get a ROM for it? I used to play it at the arcades.

The fact that they had to remain a secret was a lot of the appeal for me. They had nothing to do all day but train, watch tv, and skateboard around drainage tunnels.

Different people definitely have different appeals. Like they were naked 98% of the time, in any variation you came across whether it was comic book, cartoon, movie, etc.

It was rare for an artist at the time, at least from my point of view, to draw any characters barefoot, everyone had shoes, sandals or something, so that was one of the wierdities.

Some people liked the violent comics, some liked the kiddie comics/cartoons, some liked the live action movies... believe it or not.

Interesting things to do with them, they could be tortured, having sex, kicking ass, sailing on a boat, running through a crowded street, scaling a building, swimming in a river/lake, navigating a forest, hiking a mountain pass, taking a shower, sleeping... so much to do.

Tortured? Boy, that'd be grim.

Ya think so? To me it just looks like he's making a poorly rendered fist.

How about some free running? Thats among my favorite scenes in the comics.
