The black solids are overwhelming, fitting for the character! I like the silhouetted look and air of mystery about him.
The structure of those wings? Amazing. I love the anatomy and perspective push to the front of the piece. And those small detailed dotting for texture gives off the subtle effect of a different, almost scaled-leathery texture for the wings.
The curl of the tail makes for an interesting framing element for composition too.
