what does the alignment thing mean?

My guess, it is the character alignment from D&D. The first part is attitude towards law: Lawful, Neutral, Chaotic.. Lawful meaning you follow the laws, Neutral being you see laws as flexible in some situations and chaotic meaning you have no regard for laws and instead follow your own moral compass. The second part is you overall alignment; Good, Neutral or Evil.

So being lawful neutral would mean I do not favor good or evil but believe laws are meant to be followed.

If youre thinking lawful neutral, think of star trek. The prime directive is a lawful neutral philosophy, stating they cannot get involved with internal affairs of other races no matter how much anyone would want to. It is similar with this
