I just looked up stuff (not really spoilers to mention it) and the final evolutions of all of the starters are awful. A lot of bad and downright ugly sprite choices in this game...

I'm really hoping they have the game/time divergent evolutions! There's a few that look alright, including a quadrupedal for Litten, but that's questionable at this time, sadly.

I know, I'm hoping these are just old sprites that nintendo left in and didn't care about scrubbing. People said they went to pretty heavy lengths to hide things like replacing moves with pound and pikachu sprites, so it seems insane they wouldn't cover it up better. NO STANDING LITTEN FINAL PLEASE IT LOOKS TERRIBLE like a reject luchadore

I just dont understand why they wouldnt use the old persian base and edit its colors? This persian is horrid though you drew him cute.

I adore this version. Hopefully we can be surprised when looking at the model from a different angle when the game is released. If not, rip my dreams ;_; .

I absolutely LOVE this redesign for it. I know Han was sad about the face, this definitely looks less stung-by-bees and more pampered-pet.

I am soothing myself by pretending this is what the in-game disasters actually look like. Seriously, the base design did not have to happen like that. You made persian look like the beautiful snub-nosed lap lounger it was meant to be. Even the brachy-face with that squish in the nasal bones is just precious the way you treated it. LOOK AT THIS PICTURE, POKEMON COMPANY. THIS IS WHAT YOU COULD HAVE BEEN. LEARN FROM ALL YOUR SALTY ART NERD FANS.

Also you just always make anything shiny or polished look super juicy/beautiful even with simplified shading. I want to give that jewel many gentle head paps.

I haven't been keeping up with stuff a lot of the Sun and Moon stuff, so I ended up seeing this before the actual Alolan Persian, which just made it so much worse. :(
