As Manhattan glows below, Brooklyn takes to the skies to watch over the city.
As you can see I've adopted the colouring style I started trying out with "Turtle Wax" as my "official" style now, due to it's greater success at displaying depth and shape.
This is also one of my favourite (and I think one of my best) anatomical illustrations showing how far I've progressed with hand-drawn anatomy rather than photographic tracting. This has also been one of my favorite pieces to work on.
Originally this was also going to have Lexington in the background, but after I'd finished Brooklyn and considered the raw pencils of Lex, I decided they could be better, and that I could do a trilogy of pieces based on a "streak of colour".
So with that in mind, Lex was dropped from the piece and a shot of the Empire State bathed in red was chosen. Lexington shall be the subject of the next instalment of my "Streak of Colour" Series.
