Its been one hell of a year for nintendo, and this month has unleashed a mass amount of leaks concerning new pokemon and even shiny forms. celebrating such a month, I made a shiny final evolution of Rowlet! (yes, this is pretty much confirmed as the final evo, and its shiny…mostly, minus the speckles, red hair stripe, tail and whatnot)

rough backstory;

Her name is Bendi, guardian of the more foresty areas of the tropical Alola region. Bendi's adventure started off in the professor's lab, she was assigned to be one of the three starter pokemon for new trainers. As shinies are somewhat rare for starters, many a trainer came to the lab and were captivated by Bendi's shiny plumage. Blinded by her rarity, the young trainers would excitedly pick the rowlet- much to Bendi's frustration.
Angered by the naive trainers for only picking her for rarity over bond, she'd without fail kick and tear her pokeball away from the trainer's hands. Too scared to reclaim the rowlet's ball trainers would hurriedly change their minds, grabbing the professor's litten and rushing out of the facility with watery eyes.
Left behind with her, Bendi became aware of the lab's resident popplio, whom no trainer even gave a second glance. Both having no names or trainers, they began to grow closer. The popplio came to admire Bendi for her bravery against blind trainers, and Bendi came to cherish the little seal's admiration for her.

One fateful day when the professor released the pair from their respective balls, Bendi spread her little wings and knocked the balls from the table, grasping onto her new found friend's tail and carrying them through the door and into the wild. Their balls were not damaged, but the professor saw their escape as a message, and let the two be free in the wilderness.
Over time Bendi evolved whilst protecting herself, her popplio friend (later named Sonata by Bendi, after she gave the owl her own name). Sonata found herself in quite a bit of trouble and often too scared to battle she came to be dependant on Bendi's fighting spirit and skill as a growing archer.

Together they worked as a team to free wild pokemon unwilling to be caught by roaming trainers.. staying inseparable in the process.

Being a shiny means this bird has a lot of time getting into trouble herself, but with her actions to aid the other wild pokemon, she has enough little followers to back her up when things get hairy!
