"Ekiries can both be created artificially and happen kind of accidentally.
They can be created out of anything and will feed on whatever it is they were made out of. An Ekirie that was made from a flower will only feed on the specific flower it was made from. A faerie made from metal will only feed on that specific metal etc.
They're completely autonomous beings from the moment they come to life. No matter how skilled the creator, loyalty is not guaranteed. An Ekirie may or may not bond with its creator, but it would be unwise to create one solely for a specific purpose. Some may choose to travel, while others prefer to stay and tend to whatever it is they were made from.
Size can range from being able to sit on the tip of your finger to reaching up to your navel when standing on the ground."

I've been drawing Ekiries all over (the lil guys here) and wanted to make a lil pastel one today. I think I'll be keepin this cutie.
