I was actually inspired by a Halloween episode of The Drew Carey. The devil himself came to Cleveland and when asked where his horns are, he states "You have one bad hair day and all of a sudden, you've got horns." It made me wonder about applying this another iconic figure. I imagined the Grim Reaper not as a skeleton in a robe, but as a husky tiger with stripe pattern that mimics a human skeleton and his tail is the scythe. Why is he so big? He suffers from a neurosis where thinks he's too thin ("Fast for one day in the Dark Ages, and people think you're a skeleton.") As a result, his spare time is mostly spent gorging on protein and weight lifting. Though, he's actually a merciful death that eases the dearly departed into the hereafter.
