The art here was used as a wrap around cover, so the right side of it was on the front, and the left side was on the back. :) I know it seems like such a simple piece, but I spent quite a lot of time looking up Renaissance outfits! It was quite fun though. Original was sketched out on paper (omg so many faces, it felt like a lot more than this) then colored digitally. At the end, before final tint adjustments, I scanned a sheet of parchment to use for texture.
I feel like this looks so much better on the book itself!
