My character for the Watership Down inspired RP on deviantart, Watership Warren.

This is my first time drawing a rabbit, but it was really fun! I'm looking forward to drawing more bunbuns.
You can view all of his history and info at this link, but I'll also post some below.

APPEARANCE //
Small and agile, Roo is without a doubt the runt of the litter. His fragile, stringy body is covered in a layer of soft white fur, interrupted only by a grey spot on his right ear. Having been born and bred in the wild, he is a mixed breed, but his father was a Belgian Hare. Roo inherited that long, distinctive frame, and the speed that comes with it, but his strength leaves much to be desired. Even at this young age, it’s clear he is no fighter, and would be far better off fleeing or hiding from any conflict. Currently his body holds little fat, and does a poor job of protecting his insides.
However, his greatest physical challenge is his left eye. Born with a cataract that’s claimed the iris, he can only see from his right side, relying on scent and sound to navigate the dangerous world. His natural eye color is a pale blue, and remains untouched in his right eye.
Due to his nervous nature, Roo is almost always moving, be it a twitchy ear or thumping foot. Eye contact is out of the question, and he can only achieve stillness when overcome with paralyzing fear.
PERSONALITY //
Roo views life through a lens of fear. Whether it’s by nature or nurture, he sees the danger in everything, and this anxiety leaks into every aspect of his life. When interacting with fellow rabbits, his affection is sporadic and flighty, clinging to some and completely avoiding others. This does not stem from a place of apathy, but rather the opposite–he cares deeply for all of his peers, and simply doesn’t want to get in their way. This is most evident when interacting with members of the owsla, who intimidate him beyond words. He tries his best to follow all of Zayntheth’s rules, and often frets over how to behave. Unfortunately, that instinct to worry and panic can result in making poor decisions, and has almost gotten him into trouble on numerous occasions.
However, there are some things that bring Roo peace, like the first bite of a fresh strawberry, or the smell after a morning rain, and in those moments his core personality can be revealed. When calm, the boy is gentle and caring, eager to hear stories of triumph and adventure. At this young age, he prefers to stay by his mother as much as possible, finding solace in her weathered fur and smooth voice.
Whether or not Roo can grow to emulate his father’s bravery remains to be seen, but even if he can’t, at least he inherited that elusive sense of hope.

Thank you!! I LOVE BUNNIES SO MUCH!!! Making a character for the group (which hasn't actually started yet) brought back so many great memories of when I first discovered watership down. Also scarring memories, of course, cause the movie frightened me beyond belief xD but I recently rewatched the end of the movie and ;_; I cried...rabbits go through so much 'lad;ajg;fdkgflk;;
Roo would love to be a storyteller! 8D

SAME!!! Buns are best!!
Oooo!! How exciting!! And yeah, Watership Down is an EXPERIENCE in movie format. Prince of a thousand enemies ;O; I need to read the book. I read part of it as a kid, but it was def too much for a younger kid to handle (at least, in my experience) so I should read it now.
Eheheh :3 It seems perfect for him :3 Telling everyone about adventures and making em all happy~~ He's a good bun~

I haven't read the book either, it took a long time for me to recover from the movie @_@ scared me so much. And yet I also liked it, so who knows. It was a lot for me to try and wrap my head around in elementary school, haha.
aww that's a nice image 9_9 the RP group has two warrens and I put him into the strict, scary one, so they could use some nice stories to pick up the mood. Baby bunnies are so delicate and perfect, Roo will be a great reason to draw them ;c;

It has a melancholy sort of fear about it. I don't know how to put it into words, but it's a tone that only a few pieces of fiction take and I always love it. That was the same fear I felt with Secret of NIMH @_@ Them 80s cartoons @__@
aw yes ;O; bring some happiness to the lil warren!! When you described his fur, I immediately could remember the thin soft fur of a baby bun. They're so fragile, but so cute ;o;
