The Chevelure-Sambuke Hourglass and its Denizens
This took a lot of work to fix up in GIMP. Still looks rather crappy though, drawing skills still need improving. XD
The Chevelure-Sambuke Hourglass is a space station orbiting the planet Yellowstone in Welsh author Alastair Reynolds' book The Prefect, which takes place in his Revelation Space universe. The citizens of the Hourglass are part human and part animal as a decision on their part. This is achieved through advanced biotech and possibly nanotech as well.
Sadly, only about a page or two are dedicated to the Hourglass in the book.
The panda-human hybrid in the center is the mayor of Chevelure-Sambuke. His name is Graskop.
On the left of him is a lizard-human hybrid and on the right is a tiger-human hybrid. Both being extras I came up with.
The Prefect, Graskop. Chevelure-Sambuke and the universe they are in all belong to Alastair Reynolds.
