Ya. I saved the parts as they are worth $$$. AMC was a pioneer in A/C thought, remember they owned the Kalvinator refrigerator company, so the Rambler Ambassador was the first car to have standard A/C.
Living in Minnesota, I have no need for the A/C either. I can never bring myself to turn it on because all I can think is, "This is costing me precious horsepower..."
