What I did was print it out, and draw on the back of the paper (and then reversed it again when I scanned it). So I did use the original sketch as a very direct base for this drawing. Pretty much everything that was in the original is here-- just added/changed some of the sweets, made his ears pointier, and put his left leg in front of a few cupcakes. Otherwise I just inked and hatched what was there.
Right. Clever. I see what you mean about the renaissance look, reminds me sort of how they portray those really old fairy tale books, where you see the page turning to Hansel and Gretel or some shit while a harpsichord plays. I guess yours would be more akin to the troll under the bridge. What was that called again? How I lost my virginity at the bridge?
