The Husband and I are parents to two fur babies!!!!! <3 <3 I always wanted kitties and now we have two! I am allergic but I think my body is already getting used to them. All I ever got was a runny/stuffy nose and sneezing nothing ever severe than that. They haven't been that awful now after 2 days. I of course still have been taking Benadryl to help but I think I'm already getting used to them.
We got them from Petsmart Friday night. They came from an animal shelter so they have been at a foster home. The past 3 days they have been doing very well here at home. They are so adorable, lovable and cuddly. They warmed up to us really fast. I have to say they are very well behaved too. As far as I know they haven't destroyed anything at all. When we lay down and get comfy they cuddle up to us and when we go to bed they come up and lay in the bed with us =) I eventually want to get them their own bed though. But they have been pretty content with sleeping with us and it's so cute.
Getting pets have been the best thing for me! I have been in a very good mood with them being around. I have been going to bed and getting up early. So I think even getting back to my normal sleep schedule has been putting me in a better mood as well. =)

I am worried about Wheatley my boy grey tuxedo. He's been sneezing a lot since we got him and just today he started sneezing a bit of blood. Just because I have never had cats and don't know what could be wrong I'm taking them both in to the vet in the morning. Because I read it could be nasal blockage, a cold, bacterial infection, or allergies. I'm hoping he just has a cold and can give him some medicine. I'm taking Luna with me though because I'm supposed to get them checked within 30 days for a vet visit so I'm doing it early for both. I'm worried about my baby boy.
Glad you're able to have them!
My eldest, just over three years, is a small bodied, chubby, soft furred Siamese mix. Sometimes when I sit, he's in my lap before I can get fully settled. And ain't afraid of nothin'. The day we brought him home, he was playing, exploring, going right up to the other cats we had at the time and even the dog without fear

I still pet them of course. It only seems like on occassion I'll get the sniffles and sneezing from them. I will wash my hands a lot after petting them though just so I don't touch my eyes afterwards. I already experienced a red eye in the morning because I touched them and rubbed my eye the other night. I had to go out and buy allergy drops. Eye is better now. But other than that my allergies honestly haven't been so bad as I thought. I know eventually I will with having them around I'll grow out of it.
