The sprite style here is based on Digimon Adventure: Anode/Cathode Tamer, a WonderSwan Color game.

Honestly, I like this sprite style a lot due to its retro feel while still being aesthetically pleasing. Plus, highlights are actually canonically part of the style!

Drawing the shiny fur was very difficult here... I am not sure if I got that correct... His shiny fur does look strokeable to me, at least...

A couple of the highlight colours are actually the 'main' colours of other sprites due to some of the 'main' colours not having proper highlight colours at all.

The eye highlights... I referenced a picture from Noroi from Ganba's Adventure.
