Quite neat. And heh. I do wish there was some more elaboration on their weapons, because aerogel everything always seemed a little weird. (Much as I like all the orange)

For starters the fact their weapons were all orange was an engine limitation, I wanted the blade to be colourable, but due to the way Starbound handles colour sets I couldn't do that for the blade _and_ keep them transparent. Starbound in it's original (Pre-triage) version was also really big on racial parity, which meant I had to give the Avali like a bazillion melee weapons, even though they would not use melee weapons nearly that much; in canon they rely mostly on guns and gun-drones.

The blades arn't even meant to be aerogel...

I'm just amused because when I got back from hiatus, the Triage mod had made like everything out of aerogel. And so it's become a meme.

huh.. have things changed in the triage mod.. i never touched that "offshoot" of the avali mod so i would not have known that they use aerogel for everything. I understood more about the limitations that you would have dealt with. always thought aerogel was kinda interesting after you introduced me to them. But... aerogel is not that magnificent. there has to be alot of metals the vali use. ahh well. that kinda bugs me a bit but nothin that could be done. yay for being an old avali lover. *laughs to self and sighs*

PS: technically the triage is an offshoot. i would not really call it offical but i am also not trying to say its bad.. just doesn't feel like it proper personally.

Ah, sounds cool. I'm definitely very curious about some other technologies that aren't really highlighted in the mod.

I always confused about Avali's swords... they're way too long for an Avali to carry it...

Yeah, like the spears and broad swords are longer than they are tall. It's just the way the game sizes sprites. If you make a larger and more detailed sprite then it's going to be huge in game. Also avali are short compared to people, but in the mod they're the same height.

I look through many Google searches, the aerogel I saw are usually 'creamy whitish blue' rather than orange. Though aerogel is heat-sensitive and could have different color depends on the output, like heat tint on forging steel.

What I ask is I am trying to add more color combinations of aerogel for my concept architecture of Avali, something I really wish to do recently.

I love these guys. I want to be one. Just, not here and now. I'd burn up and I'd die from oxygen poisoning.

Actually, NSFW of Avali makes me want to gouge my eyes out. If it'll keep the artists from drawing it, they can take Toriel, for all I care. I dislike Avali pr0n that much. Please keep them cute and fierce. Take literally anything else.
