But this time, the situation looked dire as the tanks of the counter-attacking German panzerwaffe, fielding the best what German engineering could throw at them, were threattening to cut the crew of the M18 off from the rest of the allied forces. The crew decided that they would make a run for their own lines, placing their trust on the agility of the fastest tank in world. "Zoya! Gimme some AP and keeps those rounds coming! Darkpaw, get this tin can moving and give me all she's got!" Commander Roxy's voice rattled via the intercom. "Sofia! Engage at will, you know the drill. John, get on the wireless and make sure that Monty's men don't shoot us as Krauts as we come in guns blazing!" There was no response from the crew, Roxy knew that everyone had heard her and they knew that she knew. The radial Continental sputtered and roared to life, spewing flame and smoke. "AP, UP!" The heavy breech closed with a clang as Zoya pushed the heavy shell in. "ROLL-OUT!" Shouted Roxy as she pulled the charging handle on on top-mounted 50-cal. The Hellcat smashed through the hedgegrowth with a mighty crash, spewing fire and steel at the surprised Germans. Truly a hell on tracks."
