This is elation.
Despite my uncounted years, moments like this still lift me up. A private beach on a sunny, warm day usually invite people to hit the water or tan on the sun. Me? I prefer to do a little surfing. Thermal surface that is. Once in the air, I just need to find the right currents, soar up into the air, gliding more than flapping, before angling down towards the glittering surf and skimming the lapping waves as I pull up again over the land the catch another thermal for elevation.
Simple things, simple joys, simple pleasures. No matter how long I continue to live, moments like these will always lift my spirit.

First, if anyone can guess the reference in the title, I’ll be impressed.
So, something I’d noticed a bit ago is that, despite his wings, I’ve done little to nothing with Damian when it comes to flying, in literature or in pictures. So when I won a raffle picture as part of one of
Libra-11 Picarto streams, a wing-it asking for a simple, concise premise, after tossing around a few idea, landed on Damian in flight. Beyond that, everything was Libra’s doing, and I must say, for a simple prompt, he did a lot with it.
And yes, seems Damian’s been working out some, and is showing off that beach bod with the bare minimum.
