
This wooden feather is just over two inches long and carved meticulously by hand. Despite how thin it appears, these feathers are still quite durable and will survive accidental drops and the light battering about pins tend to endure.
These are often mistaken for real feathers covered in resin and painted. It's pretty obvious they aren't as soon as you turn it over.
I thought that lightning would be really hard to paint, and it kind of was, but not as hard as I thought. The tough part was getting the thinnest lines possible for some of those spots.
