I'm just a little leaf,
High up opon my perch,
I see the world,
Ontop of canopy and brilliant sun.
I sway ever so radiantly in the midst of a midsummer's day,
Resting at dusk when the moon comes out to play,
All the critters that come out to stife,
Brings the forest lambent with life.
The winds are shifting,
Birds are flying,
Everything seems much more graceful,
My fellow neighbors are changing color, getting ready for thier journey.
I do not know of their quest,
But I am sure mine will be like the rest,
Squirrels and rabbits feeding for thier sleep,
I am glowing with colors that wind and creep.
For an oddly strange reason,
My home has forgotten to give me hearth,
As I hang on to nothing but a strand,
I can only imagine what is instore for me.
At the midst of a strong autumn gale,
Swept me afoot, like a mast and a sail,
Flying through the ever brisk air,
Made me stare at magnificance at anything anywhere.
As my trip came closer to the earth,
I couldn't help to realize the beauty of living,
To complete the sensational passage of life,
Another happy moment of my fufilling nature.
I have ended my final adventure,
Indeed I have found true inner pleasure,
As I gaze upon the tree, I gleam at the absence of leaves gone,
Knowing that I was just another...just another one.
Just another leaf...
