I was wondering how things went at the big, Yoshi culture meet. How many different islanders did you happen to come by? Was there plenty of Honeydew and Cookies to go around?
<LoL!> It would seem one particular Yoshi made quite the impression during your visit. Since Peter Pan actually lives on an island, I wonder if padded Yoshies would come from Never Land? It would be a fitting island for those who are forever young. :)

Hehe, in this meet it ended up just being us three - one Australian and another Californian. :3 There's a chance we might meet up again too while he's still up here, but there were good times and plenty of milkshakes. :B
Not a romantic impression, just friends! ;O; But he's actually really good at impressions, literally, since he wants to be a voice actor, and knows a lot of quotes from cartoons and TV by heart. :B
He's just a bit older than you, but I think like lots of the older dudes and gals I know, still feels plenty young inside. :B

No doubt. Biological age is a very interesting thing when you compare it to one's internally perceived age. The statement, "You are only as old as you feel" is amazingly true. Under this sense, I never felt like I "mentally" aged much past 25. It's not so much that I'm gunning to be young forever or anything, it's just that I haven't "felt" older than that. It's kind of an odd matter when you actually think of it. *cush-cush*
On another note, I'm glad to hear that you are comfortable around Yoshies who were of a fair age older than you. It goes to show how truly open-minded you are. Too often you find age, sexual orientation, race, etc. driving wedges between people engaging in quality, networking opportunities. Heck, I thought I really dug myself a hole once when a friend I met OL turned out to be only 18 when I was 27! As I was sending her Neopets cards to help her with her colletion, I was just waiting for her parents, or someone else, to come after me. Fortunately, though, nothing bad did happen and we still write and share stuff on a fairly regular basis to this day.
I guess that's one thing I really like that the internet has helped do in a way. It has allowed people to see past pre-conceived notions and, in doing so, has worked to enlighten a whole generation in ways never before imagined. Woot! Woot!

To be perfectly honest, I was more going with the angle of how it was a big meeting of Yoshies from various places. Since Yoshies, for the most part, live on islands, I thought I'd be clever and go with Never Land as a fine location for baby fur / diaper fur type Yoshies. After all, it is a wonderful place full of magic and mystery where one does not ever have to grow up.
Though, as I said earlier, I felt after I made the remark that someone may take it for an MJ loaded insult. *sigh* So, in this case, I failed at being both cute and clever. :(
So, in close, my apologies to you and anyone else who may be reading this string of comments. It was never my intention to offend. Especially as, for the most part, most of my friends here are of the baby fur / diaper fur fandom.

*phew!* I am so elated to hear that. I try so very hard to be as kind and considerate of everyone at all times. However, I also have a tendency to "open mouth, insert boot" quite a bit, too. I don't mean to. But, in my creative thinking, I can sometimes go in ways that may not neccessarily be the right ones. *cush-cush*

I CALLED HIM TODAY AND HE SAID I EXAGGERATED IT.
