I have a really basic template that I use to make sure they stay consistent from one bookmark to the next, saves me a little bit of time too. ;) Once the basic face is there I just go over it and add/change features to match the character - usually just the ears and muzzle but there have been one or two where I changed the cheek area a bit too. After that it's all customized for hairstyle and accessories. :3
I do like how they look all lined up together, I'll admit. >u> I've been having fun with these, I think I actually like doing these more than the badges. I don't really ever get to work this zoomed in so its giving me the opportunity to focus on things like eye detail or the shape of the hair strands, or the details in the flowers/jewelry/feathers etc. They all have a similar setup but each character brings it's own unique flair to it. :>
