Kudora: We don’t call them “deviants”… And I’m not aware of any unusual lagiacrus species… Though Agira has spoken of tales young lagiacrus are told of an extremely rare and dangerous breed that’s almost unchanged since prehistoric times; larger than even an abyssal and far more rare. He’s sure they’re just tales though.

Well, if you look at how "deviants" are defined, then yes, there almost certainly is one out there somewhere. Noobs fail hunts all the time, and even the greatest hunters have a slip-up every now and then. Surely one of the many that got away went on to become deviant, right? :3
