This large and lovely coyote atlas (natural decease) has been nature-found and fully cleaned by me, then hand painted with metallic amethyst purple and shimmery blue over an inky black base. The hues blend together and shift beautifully in the light. The natural butterfly-like shape of the bone is complimented by a generous chunk of natural purple amethyst that is inserted into the central opening and fixed into place with a bit of strong clear-drying epoxy. The pendant has a semigloss finish to beautify and protect.
Brightly colored blue-green Elytra beetle wings hang from the bottom of the bone on each side, held in place by gunmetal circle links. (Gunmetal = dark silver.) More gunmetal links pierce the bone decoratively in various places while the pendant hangs on a matching 22 inch gunmetal chain that closes with a heart-shaped latch clasp. The atlas itself is a hair over 2 inches in length and damage free. All drilling was done with a jeweler's drill.
