i had my leg amputated oct 17th getting out today prospects for me getting a prostesis are very good i impressed the PT/ot people on how strong an flexable i am even after all the issues with the foot

i can now fully qualify for the onelegged dragon ass kicking job

Oh my god, I'm so sorry! I remember you talking about your foot issues years ago. I guess it got progressively worse?

it wouldnt heal an past 4 weeks more n more bone was crumbling out the wound as dr said he would have kept me in that isolation cast for years but the foot is destabilizing we have to make a decision before its taken away an could leave you with far less

so i made the choice that i never wanted an made the worst nightmare i had come true 16 years of fighting giving up everything to fight to keep the foot... lost...

good is im strong impressively so the PT/OT people impressed we learned my new limits i learned the skills i need to live with one leg so there we are the minor infection in the shin is being treated staples will come out on the second the local med appliance co just delivered my walker which is how ill get around till got a leg to put on stump

Gosh. I'm sorry to hear that :( But you sound like you're doing okay now. There's also been massive advances in prosthetic limbs in recent years with 3D printing and mechanics resulting in more affordable and articulate artificial limbs. Maybe something affordable and helpful will come along in the future.

i dont know about affordable its gona be more than my 4runner cost me even after i rebuilt the engine for a basic leg 5k an up... but thats once its allhealed up yes the advances are awesome seen one aleady i like the way it works
