Alphys is such a textbook "workaholicpants" (to borrow a term from Spongebob). Even her wardrobe reveals it! 99% work clothes. Nerds do tend to be go-getters, but that type of person can often experience burn-out if they don't have someone in their life to help them take it easy. What's especially interesting about that, though, is that Alphys is the soothing water to Undyne's raging fire, so it works both ways. Their yin and yang dynamic is just too perfect! And if you know what traits to look for, you can see Alphys's inner yang shining through her outer yin (like when she puts on her "game face"). And you can see Undyne's inner yin shining through her outer yang (like when she does her "uwu" face which she only does when she's thinking about her squishy liznerd).
