This did turn out well after all your hard work. Even though you had that webcam up, it was kind of painful to watch because it skipped. I am so used to Open Canvas where you can see the other artist almost drawing live.

I appreciated the fallen trees in this for some reason. Good thing you included them. =3

Oh, and another thing I am glad you did. Maybe it was because of me or not, you took that idea of atmospheric perspective to heart. That REALLY helped the background from what I saw last time I looked where it was all flat. Bravo!

Yeah, webcamXP isn't the best. I might try and find a better program to stream desktops at some point in the near future. Yeah, i had to have the fallen trees in there somewhere. Figured it'd look a bit daft if there weren't any. Oh and the reason it'll have looked flat when you last saw it was just because i had a few layers hidden which had the gradients to lighten the image.

But yeah i'm really glad you like it.

Thanks. But nah this was 100% drawn in Adobe Photoshop. I'm pretty useless at opencanvas so i just use what I know.

Okay, what brush did you use for the trees? I'm just curious and it might help me sometime... X3

I just made my own. I drew a leaf in greycscale facing to the right with the leaf parts a dark grey and the stem as black. I then made that into a custom brush. From there I just made it really tiny, added a scatter value in both directions, max angle litter, so it would randomly orientate the leaf. Max colour litter I beleive its called, which would make each leaf a random colour between the two currently selected colours. Oh and then i just set a min size to avoid rediculously tiny leaves. So this brush would randomly draw leaves between two colours, in a random rotation in a random offset from the mouse. Its just a case of playing around till it looks right.

And as for the trunk.. that's just a dodge/burned bit of brown o.o.

That is highly interesting. I haven't looked into making my own brushes yet, but that really is a powerfull tool.
