that was surprisingly tame for what else i'v read....and as i feared no happy endings for anyone but the demon.....guess i need to get drezz to hunt down the witch to bargain to get trick back.......at least he is still a cat.....as for the mind manipulate i think he should be able tow work through that on his own....given time

And of course the demon won! At least for now it wouldn't be Halloween without him!
Though the witch was Zenti in disguise so Trick is just a nice black cat in the mansion ready to trap others

o dear he has a family to care for though? i need to mount a rescue party...or at least a negotiation
and yeah he will work through the mind control given time....being possessed by aaa that spirit tends to give you a little immunity to it
(part of my world lore ignore me i love it and it's not like this is cannon for trick now anyway)

That's only if it is spontaneous and neither of them have any of their equipment, showing up to a party in full adventuring duds is like walking into a party armed to the teeth with firearms. :p

trick would have brought his mage deck noting suspicious about a deck of card there just for party tricks.

Wow... this definitely has been a halloween to remember... thank you Russet and Adalore for this insight to a most macabre party, and a view into transformations of classic horrors rarely touched on in transformative writing!

What an awesome story from start to finish. The entire summoning gone awry theme played out beautifully in giving the party that extra bit of oomph to make it exciting for everyone; with a seemingly happy ending for everyone involved.


Thanks again so much for including me in this wonderful celebration of the best holiday of the year. I can now only wonder what it must be like to have the moisture sucked out, leaving behind the desiccated remnants of a mummified rat. And of course, how adorable a 3 foot tall, rat mummy will look, trying to terrify everyone around him. ^_^
