Night Dragons 2016
Vrghr's flight of dragons, all lit up at night for the Halloween holiday.
They're very colorful!
Apparently, dragons attract Trick or Treaters too! Wuff has NEVER had this many kids and adults stop at his house before. Went through 100 Gumball Eyeballs, 75 gummy Boogers, 100 LED Finger Ring lights, 250 "Zots" fizzy candies, and 5 1/2 lbs of "Tootsie" Family fun assorted pack. Finally had to tap into wuff personal stash of Lindor Hazelnut Truffles for the last groups, and gave out about 25 of those.
Wuff was handing out more than one candy per person, but that's still a LOT of folks! Vrghr is estimating between 200-250 visitors this year! Folks driving up in vans and trucks to get out in front of the house and come knocking.
Lots of parents coming up to say how much they loved the dragons. Many groups stopping to snap photos with them, using their cell phones.

Most of Australia doesn't do the halloween thing but I usually get a few groups wander through. I keep a small bucket of wrapped sweets by the door on halloween night just for those few. I only had one group of 5 knock on the door but they were delightful to see. They are getting fewer and fewer as the local kids grow up, no cute little tackers at all this year. But even having one group through was worth it. *hugs*
*nods* Wuff knows what you mean!
A few of the older kids were just in it for the candy, and hardly making the attempt to dress. But there were some very good costumes among the young folks this year. And even some of the parents escorting children around dressed up for the event.
Definitely worth setting up all this, to have the fun of all those folks visiting!

Nice... Glad it worked out well for you this year. I didn't have a single one this year.
I thought I had a few creepers here after it was the normal treater time, so I stepped outside with my air rifle that has a light and laser on it, I sweep the area with the light then add the laser and sweep a few more times. That's when I next hear muffled "OHHH shit!" then some crashing in the brush moving away rather quickly. About this time Sage thinks it's a deer or two so she goes bonkers... I'm glad she is wolfish looking.
I would have put the fear of the gods in them, if I had stepped out with my bullpup SKS and had racked the bolt and had done the same thing... Then let off a few rounds... But it would have scared the hell out of the dog, and I didn't want to do that.

Ah, Vrghr does love a wolfish looking doggie! Good idea, not to scare the pup with gunfire, even though it certainly would have made an impression on the intruders.
But it sounds like you did a really good job of that in any event! Bravo!
And, GOSH! That's a LOT more excitement that wuff would be wanting for his Halloween night! Glad you chased them off before it escalated!

Looks like so much fun! Such an exciting place, with many majestic dragons, no wonder you got so many tick or treaters!
It's hands down my favorite Holiday of the year, but no one in my area does it (I got the neighbors together one year, kids loved it, but nobody picked it up after that)
I really hope my little one will get to experience a proper trick or treating one of these years. Gonna make it back one of these years just for this purpose :3

Sure hope the young-en's get that chance! It's certainly a wonderful holiday to enjoy! We had several houses that did a lovely job of decorating and entertaining the visitors. Can't wait to see what they'll come up with for Christmas decore next! Wuff's sure they'll have something nice!
